Who We Are
Acadiana Legal Service Corporation is a private, non-profit law firm. It provides free legal assistance in civil cases to those who could not otherwise afford it. We are funded solely by grants and donations. This program is financially assisted by the Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts Program of the Louisiana Bar Foundation.
Eligibility for our services is based on an applicant's income, financial resources, the merits of the case and availability of resources to address the client's needs.
Our office provides free legal advice and consultation to low-income residents. Services are offered in the following areas: Family Law (adoptions, custody, child support, etc); Litigation (employment matters, housing problems, etc); and Administrative Law (cases involving public benefits).
