| Information | Client must be referred for legal services by a METRO advocate or other area battered women's program. Intake is done in legal office after referral. |
Who We Are
MCWC provides a 24-hour crisis line, shelter, and counseling for battered women and children. MCWC also provides non-residential services. There is no income requirement and all services are free of charge. For legal assistance, clients must be pre-screened by a program counselor. Legal services include referrals, assistance with filing protective orders, and representation in court for protective orders.
